Pikes Peak Library District - Old Colorado City Library

This is just one of Pikes Peak Libraries all around Colorado Springs and its immediate surrounding areas. Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD), which includes 15 locations, is a nationally recognized system of public libraries that serves almost 700,000 residents in El Paso County, Colorado. Pikes Peak Libraries offer a vast selection of books to choose from like award-winning books, banned books, classics, and even local authors. They even offer an eLibrary for members to get digital books.
Additionally, PPLD has events for residents of all ages, including live storytime, book clubs, computer classes, and summer shows. As well, people of all ages can attend classes held by the Pikes Peak Library District. They offer adult education, language classes, High School Equivalency (HSE) classes, and much more. PPLD also has many virtual events, classes, and lectures, too, like virtual yoga, computer skills, and other online workshops.

Located within the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs campus, Kraemer Family Library has services for university students, faculty, and staff, as well as UCCS alumni and visitors. People coming to this library can reserve a room for distraction-free reading and studying, or use the public computers and desks available in the regular library area.
There are textbooks, journal databases, and interlibrary loans available to find just the book, study, or reference that one may need. With the Interlibrary Loan program, students, faculty, and staff are provided with access to research materials that are not available at the Kraemer Family Library itself.

The Colorado Springs Little Free Libraries are quite different from the other libraries on this list, but worth mentioning! A few of these little "libraries" are scattered around Colorado Springs and are a part of a book-sharing movement created by Little Free Library, a nonprofit organization. These easy "take a book, share a book" type setups allow locals and any other passers-by the opportunity to peruse used books that others left behind in many different neighborhoods in these small book-sharing boxes.
